Man Arrested For Shaving Woman’s Pubic Hair In Benin


A ‎35-year old man, Ibrahim Adamu is currently in police net in Benin for allegedly shaving the pubic hair of a 25-year old woman, Jumai Jasper, while sleeping in his room.

Edo State Police Commissioner, Samuel Adegbuyi, who paraded Adamu and 27 others at the ‎state police command headquarters on Wednesday, said the suspect lured the victim “into his room, shave her arm pit hair and her pubic hair without her consent.”

Man Stabs Friend Over N2,000 Debt In Benin

A man identified as Oruma has stabbed his 20-year-old friend in the neck over a N2,000 debt in Benin, Edo State. The victim, identified as Frederick Eze, was reportedly stabbed by Oruma in the Oza area of the state following a fight that broke out when the victim seized one of Oruma’s property for refusing to pay the debt.

Gunmen Attack Convoy of Edo Deputy Speaker, Lawmakers

The crisis rocking the Edo State House of Assembly assumed a dangerous dimension Sunday with an alleged attack on three Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lawmakers by unknown gunmen.

Those allegedly attacked were the suspended Deputy Speaker, Hon. Festus Ibea, the Minority Leader, Hon. Emmanuel Okoduwa, and Hon. Patrick Iluobe.

Pastor Raped Church Member During Deliverance In Edo State

A pastor identified as Samson Odey­emi, has been arraigned at an Iguobazuwa Magistrate court for raping a married woman.
Police Prosecutor, Agagi James told the court that the offence was committed on May 14, when the pastor took the victim to a river for spiritual cleansing.

Man arraigned for defiling 11 pupils

A 47-year-old man, Rotimi Olayebi Edwards, has been remanded in custody for allegedly sexually assaulting 11 Junior Secondary School pupils.
The suspect is the administrator of the school owned by his mother.

 Former Edo state Governor, Lucky Igbinedion, during an interview with journalists on Friday, May 9th, said while he was Governor, he had to borrow money from his father, Chief Gabriel Igbinedion and PDP Chieftain, Chief Anthony Anenih, to offset the backlog of salaries the past administration owed the Edo state civil servants when he came into office.

Alleged N25B Scam: Court Summons Former Edo State Governor Igbinedion

Justice J. Liman of the Federal High Court, sitting in Benin-City, Edo State, has ordered a former Governor of Edo State, Mr. Lucky Igbinedion to appear before him, in furtherance of his trial for money laundering, misappropriation and abuse of office.
The judge gave the order on Wednesday in response to an application filed before the court by counsel to the EFCC, Mr. Rotimi Jacob, SAN, seeking an order of the court summoning the former Governor to appear before it.

Two killed, royal father escapes death… as oil money sparks trouble

 
It was a bloody Sunday in a sleepy community called Azagba, in Uhumnwonde Local Government Council of Edo State, when suspected thugs stormed the community and unleashed mayhem on the people. Three people were shot dead while several others are receiving treatment in hospital. Residents have fled due to fear of fresh attack.
