Somalia's first ATM machine opens in Mogadishu

Somalia’s first-ever cash withdrawal machine has been installed in the capital, Mogadishu. Some people are confused about how the machine works because they have never used one before, reports the BBC’s Mohamed Moalimu from the city. The machine, installed by Salaam Somali Bank in an upmarket hotel, allows customers to withdraw US dollars.

$227million Abacha loot recovered from Liechtenstein

 
On June 25th Nigeria will receive $227million from the government of the Principality of Liechtenstein, Europe, as the nation is said to have agreed to release the stolen money.

AFP reports that the federal government said Thursday June 19th that it dropped the charges against Mohammed in a deal to allow the return of the Liechtenstein money.

According to RadarOnline, he was flanked by security when he left the bar around 2 am. One eyewitness said the music mogul was happy to take photos with fans and also chatted with the deejay, Sanni Val Fleury from Immigre.

Clippers Sold To Former Microsoft Exec For $2 Billion?

Former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has apparently won the bidding war Thursday for the Los Angeles Clippers with a staggering $2 billion offer for the NBA franchise, according to the L.A. Times.

The frenzied battle to get the team from Sterling drove the franchise’s price sky high for a team that Forbes estimated was worth at $575 million back in January.

Apple Brings Dr. Dre On Board With Official $3 Billion Beats Deal


After weeks of rumor, Apple finally announced it has acquired headphone maker Beats Electronic for $3 billion, including $2.6 billion cash up front and approximately $400 million in stock that will vest over time. As part of the deal, Beats co-founders Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine will join Apple AAPL -0.26% in undisclosed roles.

How do most Naija celebrities make their money?

How do most Naija celebrities make their money? Majority live on the assumption that they are being paid a fortune for doing whatever they claim to do. Take Chika Ike for example, travels the world, expensive trips, lodge in expensive hotels, and shop like there's no tomorrow. Yet she claims she works hard for her money. The question here is how much does she get paid for her acting role? Another example from the music scene is the Limpopo croonner, Kcee. I'm a bit confused on how he can easily afford a Bentley. Is he getting that paid from singing?
