Peter Obi Distribute Cars To Senators So That He Can Be Appointed As Aviation Minister

Former Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State has handed car gifts to key senators, including Senate President David Mark, in order to ease his path to appointment as Nigeria’s new Aviation Minister.

President Goodluck Jonathan has promised the post of Aviation Minister to Mr. Obi who in mid-March finished his second term as governor. Mr. Obi, a leader of the All Peoples Grand Alliance (APGA), is in line to be rewarded with a cabinet post for his political loyalty to the incumbent president.

N10bn Jet scandal : Court order stalls Reps investigation

The House of Representatives on Monday said a Federal High Court order stalled investigation in the alleged N10 billion spent on chattered aircraft by Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke, Minister of Petroleum Resources.

The house on March 27, mandated the Public Accounts Committee to investigate Alison-Madueke use of state funds in the last two years to charter, operate and maintain a jet for her personal use.

Federal Capital Territory Minister, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has debunked reports that he said state governors are overcrowding the nation’s capital.
Muhammad Hazat Sule, his chief press secretary in a statement on Monday, recalled that Senator Mohammed while answering questions during the budget defence on Thursday at the National Assembly Complex said, “The influx of people including high profile political office holders are contributing to the overcrowding and over-stretching of infrastructure and social services in the Federal Capital Territory.
