Microsoft has announced the end of Internet Explorer

Most of us will know that if it wasn’t for Internet Explorer, we wouldn’t have had that first, life-changing look at the internet way back in the 1990’s.

So we hope you can join us for a minute’s silence, after Microsoft announced that they’ll soon be doing away with the iconic browser in favour of a newer version, which is currently codenamed Project Spartan.

Apple has admitted its iPhone 6 Plus does bend, but said if you use it normally then it’s unlikely to.

Several owners of the newly-released smartphone had posted images online showing a bend in the device but the US company has now reassured users it’s a rare occurrence.

Owners of the new iPhone 6 Plus have been left angered as it emerged the phone can bend out of shape simply when stored in a pocket.

Since the new model launched on Friday, a small but growing number of iPhone 6 Plus owners have reported the issue that significantly alters the appearance of the phone.

The problem, dubbed 'bend gate' by some on social media sites, is due to the phone's thin aluminium exterior - but can be solved by ensuring the middle of the phone is not subjected to a large force.

Microsoft 'plans to release special selfie phone'

Selfies have become so important that tech giant Microsoft is reportedly planning to release a phone based on the picture method.

The ‘selfie phone’ is said to have a high quality five-megapixel camera on the front instead of on the back, where the superior camera is normally located.

It also reportedly has a screen measuring 4.7-inches, according to The Verge.

The smartphone, nicknamed ‘Superman’, will be released through Nokia, which Microsoft recently purchased.

The device was reportedly revealed to employees in the last few days and is expected to be released some time in August.

Google's new driverless car could be on the roads within a year

Google last night announced it will start building its self-driving car - and it plans to have the revolutionary vehicles on roads within a year.

Co-founder Sergey Brin unveiled the car - which will be equipped only with a stop/go button and be capable of speeds up to 25mph -  at a conference in California.

Car Produced By Nigerian Students Passes International Evaluation Test

‘Tuke-Tuke’ car produced by the Nigerian students has successfully passed international technical evaluation test held in the Netherlands, Punch reports.

According to the official statement by the Media Manager of Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria, Mr Precious Okolobo, the auto introduced by the University of Benin students thus qualified to race at the 2014 Eco Marathon in Netherlands, which is to be held on May 17.

BlackBerry fights back with budget smartphone

BlackBerry on Tuesday launched a new budget handset in Indonesia, one of its last bastions, a major step in the ailing smartphone maker’s fightback against titans Samsung and Apple.

China has opened the world’s longest cross-sea bridge – which stretches five miles further than the distance between Dover and Calais.
The Jiaozhou Bay bridge is 26.4 miles (42.487 km) long and links China’s eastern port city of Qingdao to the offshore island Huangdao.
The road bridge, which is 110ft wide and is the longest of its kind, cost nearly £1billion to build.

The handset, built by London-based jewellery firm Alchemist, is the world's most expensive iPhone with a £600,000 ($1 million) price tag.
