Massimiliano Allegri has told Juventus what he wants from them in his new contract and wants his future resolved by the end of the month if he is to reject interest from Arsenal.
The Italian tactician has emerged as the leading candidate to replace the under-fire Arsene Wenger at the Emirates Stadium, with the Frenchman yet to sign an extension to his contract that expires at the end of the season.
Recent reports have claimed Allegri is Arsenal’s favoured target to replace Wenger, and it seems the man himself is keen on a move to the Premier League after supposedly telling friends he’s planning to take the job.
However, Il Tempo claim he is willing to sign a new deal with Juve if they give him £4.3million a year and increased control over the first-team.
Allegri is said to have made his demands clear to the Turin giants and wants an answer by the end of March if he is to stay on at the club beyond the end of this current campaign.
It has previously been reported that the former AC Milan boss is ready to leave Juventus early, with his current contract not set to expire until 2018.
However, it may be that interest from Arsenal has turned the three-time Serie A winner’s head as he weighs up his next move.
Barcelona have also been linked with Allegri after Luis Enrique recently announced his decision to step down as Barca boss at the end of this season.
