Leicester City are reportedly braced for the departure of Arsenal transfer target Riyad Mahrez at the end of this season, even if they manage to avoid relegation.
The Algeria international was strongly linked with the Gunners last summer, and even admitted that he held talks with the club before Leicester blocked the deal.
Mahrez’s future is now said to be in doubt again as the Foxes look into signing Norway international Mohamed Elyounoussi as a potential replacement for their star attacker.
According to the Daily Mail, Leicester fear that Mahrez will be on the move at the end of this season after the club’s dip in form sees them fight relegation just a year after winning the title.
The 26-year-old was named PFA Player of the Year for his performances in that incredible Leicester victory, but has been less impressive this term along with many of his team-mates.
Still, that may not put top clubs off moving for him in the summer, and the Premier League champions are apparently working to ensure that they have someone ready to come in if he does move on.
