Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero this summer, but he’ll cost a near-world-record transfer fee.
The Argentina international has been one of the best players in the Premier League since his arrival from Atletico Madrid in 2011, winning two league titles and scoring a total of 156 goals in 237 games for the club.
Real are long-time admirers of Aguero’s abilities, and City apparently expect offers to start coming in ahead of the next transfer window.
According to the Manchester Evening News, City have no plans to let the 28-year-old leave and would demand a huge fee to let him move to the Bernabeu.
The world transfer record is currently set at £89million after Manchester United spent big on Paul Pogba last summer, and that is the kind of fee City would expect from Real for Aguero.
Pep Guardiola hasn’t always seemed convinced by his side’s top scorer this term, leaving him on the bench in some big games amid rumours that he wants him to work harder to fit into his demanding style of play.
