Claudio Ranieri rejects first job offer since Leicester sacking

Claudio Ranieri snubs first job offer since Leicester sacking
Former Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has reportedly rejected an offer from Bundesliga side Wolfsburg just weeks after his sacking by the Premier League champions.
The Italian tactician was controversially let go by the Foxes at the end of February after failing to get the team to gel anywhere near as well as last season when they achieved the most unlikely of title wins.

Leicester ended up in a relegation fight this term, and reports claim that Ranieri was being targeted to get Wolfsburg out of trouble after their poor form so far this season.

The German side sacked Valerien Ismael shortly after Ranieri departed the King Power Stadium, and have been keen to bring the 65-year-old in as his replacement, according to the Leicester Mercury.
Still, it seems Ranieri is keen to have more time off before taking on another job in football, with the lure of Wolfsburg not quite enough for him at the moment.
Given the former Chelsea boss’ struggles to steer Leicester away from the drop zone in England, he may not have fancied a similar challenge in the Bundesliga.
