How cultists murdered my mother, six others – Victim’s daughter

Ogwashi-Uku

A 28-year-old Abiodun Kokoroaiye has narrated how her mother, siblings, and three others were killed last week at Ikorodu, a Lagos district.
While four of the victims were murdered in cold blood by suspected members of a cult gang known as Badoo inside Imoleayo Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) on Oshiyemi street, Mosafejo, Agbowa, a man and his two sons were killed at a nearby residential building.
According to Kokoroaiye, her mother and the children were sleeping in the church when their assailants sneaked in and killed them.

She said: “The killers smashed their heads with grinding stone and used matchet to dismember their bodies. Christiana Omolara, 9, Yusuf, 4, and Debora, 11, were all butchered in the most horrific manner.
“In another compound on Olayinka Street, three other persons, father and two sons were murdered in a similar manner at the same time. It seems the same gang carried out the attacks.
“Right now, people are deserting the area for fear of another attack by the gang. I am still at Ikorodu to secure the bail of my elder brother, Seun, whose daughter was also killed. He was detained, but later released. He was asked to be reporting at the police station daily.
“The murder happened around 3:00 a.m. but the police did not respond to our distress call till 6:00 a.m. This area is not secured. That is why we are calling on Governor Akinwunmi Ambode and the state Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, to provide security at Agbowa.
“We are making a passionate appeal to the governor to prevail on the police to release the dead bodies of our slain relatives so as to give them befitting burial.”
