Synagogue Building Collapse : Lagos Suspends Probe


The Lagos State government has suspended its independent investigation into the cause of the collapse of a guesthouse in the premises of Synagogue Church of All Nations, which killed 86 people on September 12.

State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Lateef Ibirogba, confirmed this on Tuesday, as he disclosed that all findings on the disaster would be withheld pending the outcome of another probe panel set up by the Federal Government.

Another 52 Boko Haram Members Apprehended In Biu


Nigerian security operatives have arrested more than 50 Boko Haram militants in separate operations in Biu, Borno State, between yesterday and today, two military sources have disclosed.

The militants rode into Biu in a truck. The insurgents were arrested after the truck driver alerted security agents at a checkpoint that some of his passengers had threatened to kill him if he refused to take them out of Borno State.

Since the new model launched on Friday, a small but growing number of iPhone 6 Plus owners have reported the issue that significantly alters the appearance of the phone.
The problem, dubbed 'bend gate' by some on social media sites, is due to the phone's thin aluminium exterior - but can be solved by ensuring the middle of the phone is not subjected to a large force.

The notorious Ugandan warlord, Joseph Kony, one of the most wanted men in the world, has long been accused of feasting on the flesh of his dead enemies. Earlier this year, thirteen people were arrested in western Uganda, accused of murdering a pregnant woman and the eating her. Here people are afraid to go out at night for fear they may become somebody's dinner. We decided to go to Uganda to find an actual Cannibal. We met Baboola, a self professed cannibal. He told us his story starting from the first time he tasted human flesh as a child.

Not surprisingly, height runs in the Singh family.

Lesbian executed for starving girlfriend's 9yr old son to death


 Lisa Coleman (above), 38, was pronounced dead at 6:23pm today in Huntsville, Texas. She had been on death row for the past eight years, after being convicted of the 2004 death of her girlfriend's 9yr old son, Davontae Williams (below after the cut) who had been beaten and bound, and whose body bore more than 250 scars when officials discovered him on July 26, 2004. He had also been starved, weighing a mere 35 pounds at the time of his death.

Witnesses said Coleman appeared to be at peace with the execution on Wednesday telling her jailers: 'I'm ready. I know where I'm going.

 I'm not bitter, just ready'. She then smiled and blew kisses at the supporters gathered at her execution and said 'God bless you all'. Her last words were directed at her fellow inmate, Darlie Routier. 'Tell them I finished strong.' Coleman was given a lethal injection at 6pm and was pronounced dead at 6:23pm. No one showed up to represent the victim, Davontae.

South African Coach Nabbed At Lagos Airport For Drugs

A 38-year old South African Football coach, Steven Darlugar has been arrested by the men of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, for trying to smuggle drug out of Nigeria to South Africa.

Sadly, Darlugar said they promised to pay him $6,000 if he succeeded in smuggling the drugs.
