FIFA Reinstates Maigari as NFF President

World football governing body, FIFA, Thursday ordered the reinstatement of  impeached Aminu Maigari as the president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
According to the letter e-mailed to the NFF Secretary General, Musa Amadu by the Deputy Secretary General of FIFA, Markus Kattner, status quo must remained as it was on the Nigerian federation before the World Cup in Brazil.
The implication of the FIFA directive is that all the 13 members on the NFF board, including Chris Green and Ahmed Yusuf Fresh, purportedly suspended by the Mike Umeh led executive committee  for ‘anti-board’ activities are to return to office till August 26 when the elective congress would hold for a fresh board.

Police narrate how teacher raped pupil in toilet

A 10-year-old primary four pupil has told the police how her teacher, Adeniran Adebayo, allegedly took advantage of her and defiled her inside the school toilet.
The victim said her health teacher threatened to flog her if she made a noise while he had sex with her in the toilet.
She said one of the female teachers in the school, however, heard her cry and barged into the toilet, forcing Adebayo, a father of two, to stop and hurriedly dress up.
The incident happened at a private school on Olateju Ilesanmi Street, Baruwa, Ipaja area of Lagos.

The Deputy Governor had arrived the court in company of his lawyers Wednesday morning and began his evidence at 9.30 am but three hours five minutes later, he reportedly collapsed and his wife and others present rushed forward to rescue him.

There is very uncomfortable news out of Borno once again further demonstrating the degree of distrust between locals and the Nigerian military drafted to the plagued region. The Nigerian military Mi-35 helicopter that reportedly crashed in Bama earlier this month apparently suffered gunfire, but not from terrorists, according to the latest reports we are receiving from trusted locals. National defense spokesperson Chris Olukolade reported that the crash was ‘not due to enemy action.’
Information gathered by ENDS in Borno has it that locals are confident that this chopper was one of two military helicopters used by Boko Haram terrorists.

Former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, on Tuesday morning lost his son, Hamza, in a car crash. The circumstances surrounding the death is not yet known, but it was learnt that the young man died in Abuja.xThe former FCT minister, broke the unfortunate news on his faceboook page at about 8am on Tuesday.
