Boko Haram Chief Sponsor Sentenced
Justice Saliu Saidu of the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, yesterday sentenced a man described as financier of Boko Haram sect to 10 years imprisonment with hard labour. The convict was said to have been the brain behind the international bond that the sect recently established with some foreign terrorist organisations.
The Boko Haram financier was among four suspects – secretly tried before Justice Saliu Saidu by the Department of State Security (DSS).

Farmer bites cobra to death in Nepal
A Nepali farmer who was bitten by a cobra in his rice paddy field has killed the snake by repeatedly biting it in return.
"A snake charmer told me that if a snake bites you, bite it

5 PDP Members Die In Boat Mishap In Bayelsa

Ebola Scare: Pregnant passenger vomits blood, rejected by 3 hospitals in Lagos
The prompt intervention of Chisco transport officials has saved a pregnant woman, who after alighting from one of the company’s buses at its terminal, Jibowu, Lagos, started vomiting blood through her mouth and nose.
The bus, with registration number KJA 950 XR, was said to have arrived from Abuja at about 10am on the fateful day when the incident occurred. Scared by the development, other passengers were said to have taken to their heels as one of the passengers screamed that the pregnant woman was displaying Ebola symptoms.

Boko Haram’s spiritual chieftain Abubakar Shekau, has in a new video disowned Danladi Adamu, the man who claimed to be the Scribe of the Boko Haram, even as he also put a lie to any claims going in to cease-fire deal with Nigeria government.
Shekau had also foreclosed the chances of prisoner exchange for the release of the Chibok girls said he had long married the girls off, and he never anticipated going into ceasefire agreement with the federal government.

Parents sent to prison for neglecting son leaving him blind
A young boy, aged 11, developed cataracts and went blind after he was kept with his two-year-old sister in unsanitary conditions.
His parents, Gillian Hendry and Craig Dick from Stockton-on-Tees, have been jailed for two and half years and two years and three months respectively.
